Delegates who experience difficulty climbing stairs should use the ramped entrance to the conference centre situated at the rear of the building.

Course Objectives

Aimed at new governors/trustees and those with less than twelve months’ experience, the session covers the following key issues:

  • Visits to school
  • Being Strategic: What does it mean in practice?
  • Monitoring and evaluation: how can the board hold its school(s) to account?
  • Accountability: how should governors/trustees fulfil their accountabilities to stakeholders?
Previous Experience Expected

Delegates should have attended the Part 1 and 2 training
