The termly Chair’s briefing took place in the Peel Room of Bury Town Hall on Tuesday 16th April.
There was an update from Karen Dolton, the Executive Director of Children’s Services, who re-iterated her commitment to education, schools and governance. A presentation was given by MPLOY on a careers support service they are providing for more vulnerable high school pupils.
Steve Tilley gave an update on the development of School on a Page – with version 2 soon to be released and branded as the School Education Profile.
Rachael Stirk outlined that a revised Governance Handbook has been published by the DfE and detailed the council’s model school uniform policy and recommended that schools and academies adopt it.
