It is with great regret that the BGA has to report the passing of Paul Coates. Paul has been a champion of governance in Bury for over 20 years, serving both the Bury Governor Association and the Bury Govenance Development Committee. He also served on the governing bodies at Phillips High School, Whitefield Primary School and Radcliffe Primary School. He passed away in his sleep on Friday 10th July and is survived by his wife Sue, his daughter Emma and his grandsons Owen and Alfie. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time.
Paul will be greatly missed by all of his governor colleagues in Bury.
