The Summer Term BGA meeting will be delivered remotely on Tuesday 8th June 2021, starting at 7.00pm. The agenda and log-in details for the Zoom Call have been circulated by Bury Council’s Governor Support Team.
The first presentation will be from Bury’s new director of Education and Skills, Isobel Booler. Isobel will outline her vision for Bury and will be able to take questions from governors.
The next section of the meeting will be about Bury’s wellbeing charter. The pandemic has highlighted how hard school staff have been working to ensure that children were receiving an education and that they were safe. The charter has been drawn up to highlight the importance that governing bodies should attribute to ensuring that the well being of staff is given due regard. Rachael Stirk and Wendy Jackson from the authority, together with John Mallon from the BGA Executive Committee will detail how the charter was developed and how you can make it work in your school.
Richard Ainsworth and Mark Granby will then give updates on the work of the BGA and the plans for governor development.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
